Passé Patterns - Cosmic Bos (Official Music Video)

So friends,

We here at Cosmic Bos are proud to present our new single 'Passé Patterns' from our upcoming next album/podcast - Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation Ep.12: Ash, Stax & Charlie

Wowmazing!

We had to make this video from our respective lockdown locations, with Nick taking editing duty, awesome work Nick.

The cover of Episode 12
There's something a little creepy about this song, since it was recorded back in October of 2019, it feels very relevant to our current global lockdown situation. Did Cosmic Bos know that this was going to happen? Did they predict things?

Well, no, of course not, but it's a bit spooky, a spooky coincidence, a spookcidence if you will coin a new phrase with me for no raisin.

The episode will be with you on the 1st of May, it's a little different to our usual thing, there are still 10 new improv songs for your ears, which is very much our usual thing, but Jethro, Jeffrey and Nick couldn't get together to do their usual recordings, so Treeman stepped into the hot seat.

Thanks for being awesome, we love you, stay safe and listen to music, it's the best.

Peace and infinite love

Online Busking Day 4 - Cosmic Bos Acoustic Live Monday

Hello friends,

So the final instalment of the Easter Weekend Cosmic Bos Acoustic Live with Jethro, and to a lesser extent, Andy comes to a close with this cheeky set of songs.

Tracklist:
  1. I Want
  2. Focus
  3. In-Between
  4. No Worries
  5. Can't Take My Eyes off You (by Frankie Valli)
  6. Separately
  7. Salt
  8. Zen Levels of Chill
  9. Fake Plastic Trees (by Radiohead)
  10. Price Tag (reworked)(original by Jessie J)
Doing the live thing was lots of fun, reminded me of my busking days (which feels a long time ago now).

While Covid19 pandemic is petitioning to be crowned Winner of 2020 (it doesn't get my vote), it is important to spend time with your creativity, everyone is full of creativity, and unfortunately time and tarmac chip away at our creative spirit and mould us into highly effective human machines, but don't panic, that creativity is still in there.

Spend just a short while with a child and you will see the creative spirit alive and well within us all, one persons blanket is another persons tent of operations from which to launch the great pepper-pot heist, so I figure, once mom has left the kitchen, I'll rush to the bathroom and cause a distraction, at which point Jimmy & Bimmy will sneak into the kitchen and hide, then you... well, yeah, you get the point I'm sure.

Thanks for watching.

Peace and infinite love

Online Busking 3 - Easter Sunday Special

So friends,

Jethro, and to a lesser extent, Andy, continued the Cosmic Bos Acoustic Easter Weekend Eggstravaganzzzza, following on part 2 with, well, part 3. And here it is.

Track Listing:
  1. Quite Likely
  2. Given Half a Dance
  3. Then They Did
  4. Los Ageless (by St. Vincent)
  5. Backbone
  6. Apeman (by The Kinks)
  7. Concrete Skyline
  8. Mr. Gnome
  9. Saturday Night (by Devendra Banhart)
  10. If You Asked Me Too
  11. Hang on to the Sunshine

Okay, so 11 isn't, well, it just isn't.

There were a few technical difficulties (not coronavirus related) and the live stream was interrupted before Andy could launch into Hang on to the Sunshine, which obviously meant the whole thing was over...but no, it was far from over, well, not that far from over, it was still nearly over, but it wasn't completely over, if you get what I mean.

I think I may have over complicated that bit, I will go back and delete it later, except, if I do that then this bit won't make any sense, and if you lose the audience you lose the battle of being a bedroom blog writer, I may as well just hang up my laptop and think long and hard about what I am doing with my life. What the hell am I doing?

No, be strong, don't give in to the delete key, this has to be read by the twenty people that visit your blog every now and then, they need to see this, to gain a valuable insight into the overblown claim that this blog is somehow adventuring through creativity, which, let's face it, it really isn't, it's just about these three dudes that make an improvised podcast, I mean, what the fork is that all about?

Well, since you asked, It's a podcast, of improvised (and revised) music, with some stupid chatter about nonsense in-between, it's alright, it has it's moments at least, probably worth checking out if you happen to have several days of crushing boredom in front of you. It's on iTunes and Spotify and all that.

Right, now, what was I doing?

Of yeah

So here is part 2 of part 3.

In this segment Andy managed to knock out three more tunes before finally ending.

Tracklisting of part 2
  1. Hang on to the Sunshine
  2. Nobody Does it Better (by Carly Simon)
  3. One Day Like This (by Elbow)
Thanks for your eyes and ears

Peace and infinite love

The Maja Saga pt. 3 - Captured, Again? (Official Toy Music Video)

Oh no!

Emit has managed to capture Maja...Again?!

Good work Jimmy and Bimmy, as useful as ever.

The Maja Saga part 3: Captured, Again?
Taken from Cosmic Bos Improv-Revisation podcast Episode 11: Betting the Bottom Dollar
Music improvised, revised and mastered by Chris Mace, Nick Jackson and Andy Jackson
Video made by Abi, Andrea, Nick and Andy Jackson (it's a Jacksonfest)
Here is the Spotify album link

Well there you have it, the exciting conclusion to the epic Maja Saga. Thanks for coming on this exciting toy based journey with us, it has been a blast. Now that it's all done and dusted with I will probably do a special blog presentation of the whole Saga (The Maja bit of it, not all the season 1 Tiny Spaceman stuff), just to flesh out some of the ideas for you. I promise that it will eventually all make sense, we have purposefully kept big chunks of the story a secret, but more will be revealed in the upcoming months I'm sure.

We will take a little break from the toy universe so we can focus on the next episode of the podcast, Episode 12: Ash, Stax and Charlie - featuring the triple threat of Ashley Carter, Donny Stax and Charlie Gibbs (hence the episode title). Obviously the Covid Lockdown 2020 is preventing us from performing our usual video making duties, but being the ever resourceful Alison Brie lovers that we are, we will find a way to keep churning out the content like we're key worker butter churners (is that still a profession? or is it all done by robots now? Answers on a postcard please).

Okay, that's enough blog for one day, now onto the next thing

Peace and infinite love

Making it Up as We Go Along part 2 - A Cosmic Bos Documentary

So friends,

Part 2 of our documentary about ourselves is up, it's here in fact, right underneath these very words.

Well that was fun wasn't it?
Ahh the heady days of 2019, when we could sit on each others sofas and sneeze into our own hands, what times we had.

Part 3 coming this weekend, it's the battle of the songs, with the 3 Bos boys putting their mixed tracks into a battle Royale with cheese (Alison Brie) kinda situation. What an Easter weekend treat! Who will win?

If you really can't wait to find out the answer to this reverting question, check out this youtube playlist of all of our music videos. It contains the answers you seek.
So with lockdown in full effect, we soldier on separately, constructing the next episode of our podcast (Episode 12: Ash, Stax and Charlie ft. Ashley Carter, Donny Stax and Charlie Gibbs). Still on track for it's May 1st release, with some isolation based videos to go along with it. We have been debating the singles, and Mr. Stax has been consulted regarding self filming, so it looks like no lockdown will shut down the Bos train, next stop, embracing the social spacing.

Please subscribe to our stuff, we appreciate the support, and you can always rely on our nonsense to be here every month, come rain or virus (we've already recorded the rest of the years improv sessions so no amount of apocalypse can stop the Bos train to Musicville). We are on all the socials and our podcast and music can be found on iTunes and Spotify etc. Check it out - search for Cosmic Bos, tell them Bob sent you (he's your Uncle).

Peace and infinite love

Making it Up as We Go Along part 1: A Cosmic Bos Documentary

Hello friends,

So we shot a documentary about ourselves last year, and it is now coming out one part at a time.

Here is part 1: Recording the Music

Exciting huh?
Well, back in the good old days when you were allowed to spend time with other people, this is what we did, make music together, all in the same room.

Happy lockdown

Part 2 coming very soon

Bos Shuffle #1 - Come play a game with us

Hello friends,

Indoors? Got time to kill?
Why not play a really fun new game, called Bos Shuffle.

I can't really explain the rules, just listen to this podcast, it explains it, sort of.

Go to Cosmic Bos on Spotify, and press shuffle. Guess which episode the next song is from, win a prize (you don't really win a prize), be the envy of your friends (your friends won't give a doink), and save the planet (what? how?)

So there you have it, a fun game for all the family.

Expect some sort of rules to come out in the near future, or not, who knows?

Thanks for being amazing, stay safe,

Cosmic Bos x

(was that alright? bit short maybe? or do you prefer it when there's not lots of pointless words to read, stupid words, always getting in the way of pictures, making us use our brains to read and stuff, well, there you go, I have clearly lost the plot, maybe best to start over, just delete this whole blog, grab what I can and head to the hills...oh, no wait! I can't, that would be breaking the strict governmental guidelines about having to stay indoors at all times, just in case, not sure why I have to trust the government right now, I haven't trusted them before, they don't usually have a clue what's going on, and let's face it, what's changed? Still, at least I've got some toilet paper, sweet sweet toilet paper, scented I think, a sweet scent. Right, this has gone on long enough, now to just press delete
