From episode 4 of Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast, 'Up is the Only Way' is a dancy improv number that sets the tone for the whole episode, hence why it opens proceedings and got a video.
Our improv music podcast experiment is going quite well, so far
Please do a bit of the old liking, sharing and subscribing, the bread and butter of poor artists like us
Here is the youtube version, it's been up for ages and no one has watched it, which is fine, youtube no longer seems to be the platform for artistic up and comers, but it still is a place that we can put our little music videos, so that's something I guess.
Thanks for hanging around,
The next episode is a little something special (or lazy, depending on your perspective), it's called 'From the Vault'
10 songs from our musical collections of old/unreleased material, Hooray!
With a special guest appearance by Donny Stax
Coming to the podfeed on 1st May

The title of this one is a reference to our silly toy video's, the ones with the tiny space bloke in, and the Swedish woman, and those tatty nutcrackers (Jimmy & Bimmy). They have a portal, and things can come through it, so it needs some sort of passport control, so that not just any old entity can come into our realm and start causing chaos on a galactic scale.
We recorded all the music for this episode back on the 6th of October 2018, one Octobery afternoon/evening, four musical stations set up, four musicians (Chris Mace, Nick Jackson, Andy Jackson & special guest Ashley Carter) and plenty of snacks, with just a couple of breaks for a tea (and to air the room a little).
The episode is coming out at a time of high strangeness and confusion. Being British, us Cosmic Bosi are observing the flip flopping, all over the political floors, of the Brexit fish, which seems to have been born prematurely with little to offer outside of 'We're Out!', and a political system that seems to have mistaken the fact it is there to run the country for a tug-o-war over the Irish (again, a little bit of history repeating). Now, we are not a politically motivated musical movement, far from it in fact, we are politically motivated to movement maintenance mainly musical in nature, but our improvising on that day back in October last year has a spooky connection to Brexit.
What? Spooky you say? How so?
Well, it's not that spooky I guess, more, mildly interesting, maybe.
All the improv songs that came out of the session have titles that could be seen as political, or at least sociopolitical, 'Making it up as we go along', 'Beautiful lies, 'You spin me round in circles (not squares)' to highlight a few. It seems as if our improvising brains were trying to tell us something, I haven't been able to figure it out, I don't see any answers in the music, there probably isn't any there to see, and it's not worth looking, because if the answers to the political questions of our age can be found on an improvised musical podcast then, well, then we need more listeners who have political persuasive powers, hell, we just need more listeners.
Also, on an unrelated note, the episode is hosted by Jethro & Jeffrey (internet Z-list celebrities), check out their antics on our youtube channel.
Anyway, here is the video to 'Up is the Only Way'

Well, I can't vouch for the directional advice of this improvised (and revised) song, but it sure does get the dance into my feet and the rhythm into my soul.
Up is the Only Way - is the opening track of Episode 4: Pass-portal Control, along with the previously released (like, a week ago) 'Journey' and 7 other revised improvisations.

It was revised and mastered by Chris Mace and Andy Jackson

This episode is a little shorter then the first two, and there was lots of material left on the cutting room floor (which I've promised to clean up), but thanks to the tireless production efforts of Chris 'Jeffrey' Mace, the wordsmithery of Donny Stax and the samples of Tezza McKezza, something special was born (or revised). It's somewhat Oxymoronic, a little bit Atomic, and a smidgen Hotel.
Here is the video to 'Pinch Me, I'm Dreaming' - just in case you wanted to watch it The video was directed and edited by Nick Jackson, it starred Andy Jackson, and there was a special appearance by Abi Jackson, a whole lotta Jackson action
That's it for now, coming April 1st will be Episode 4: [currently unconfirmed irreverent title]
With a preview song/video coming at some point in March, probably a couple o weeks
You ever get that feeling, that you might still be dreaming, and this whole reality is just one long dream?
