Monthly Music Challenge with Cosmic Bos Podcast - 1.7 - Mother Earth

 Hello friends,

I do apologise for the lateness of this blog, the episode has been out for quite some time, but life has been busy and the blog got forgot, soz.

Monthly Music Challenge with Cosmic Bos

Episode 1.7 - Mother Earth

Join Nick and Andy (Cosmic Bos) as we explore the musical interpretations created for our wonderful Mother Earth by some of the most talented musicians in the whole world. What did we all choose to say about Gaia, the great ball on which we all reside ? Well you are in for a treat friends, as all this music has been environmentally sourced, has an extremely low carbon footprint and has travelled from around our great planet without clocking in any airmiles (email miles don't count).

Prepare to give praise to Gaia, Mother Earth, the big Blue & Green, with the musical stylings of Mobidextrous, Andrew Hartshorn, Hellwaddler, Trench Gun, Aye Nevo, Man of Arun, TexMex Shaman, Taylor Lidstone, A Sea Warren, Notehead, JPeck, Trommelfell.MB and your idiotic hosts Cosmic Bos with special guests Joe Philogene and Dayne Howcroft.

Cosmic Bos put out their songs on an EP, which coincidently always has the same title as the coresponding episode of the Monthly Music Challenge. It will be available everywhere, but on bandcamp it will be purchasable. You can also pick up singles, twingles, EPs and Albums by most of the great artists featured in this episode. Please check them all out and share the musical connections.

The next theme for MMC 1.8 is Dreams #Dreams

Please send your mp3's with a little write up about the song to cosmicbos@gmail.com

If you are a first time submitter please send a bio about yourself too, otherwise Nick and Andy will make something up and it will likely be very silly, music is a serious business and Cosmic Bos's style of podcast most certainly isn't serious.

You have until the 8th September 2023 to get your Dreams songs in, as well as any late submissions for the previous themes. (previous themes are 1. New Beginnings, 2. Escape, 3. Ignorance, 4. Winning, 5. Razzmajazz, 6. Artificial Intelligence and now 7. Mother Earth)

Good luck! Get your dreamy brain on and make up a song.

Please take the time to comment, follow all the amazing artists featured on their socials, likes, shares, subscriptions and comments are the bread and butter of the indie music scene, please distribute them generously.

Here is the full track list for the episode, all tracks are on the theme of Mother Earth (except for the 'late sub' found near the end of the episode)

Idiots (weeklies version) by Cosmic Bos for the #Ignorance Monthly Music Challenge

 Hello friends,

Check out Idiots (weeklies version) by Cosmic Bos

And here's the YouTube video link if you wish to see Andy doing his Beavis and Butt-head impression

We are deep into Monthly Music Challenge 1.3 - Ignorance, with several submissions already received it is shaping up to be one hell of a show I'm telling you. Our entry (Cosmic Bos) for the #Ignorance challenge is 'Idiots', the version you hear here is the version we put together for the Music Weeklies challenge, they only give you one week to make your song, where as here at Monthly Music Challenge we give you the added bonus time of One Whole Calendar month to make your song.

It's very exciting, you should come get involved, here is the link to the podcast itself, please go and subscribe to it where ever you do your podcasting (it should be there, just search Monthly Music Challenge) or direct link HERE (OFFICIAL PODCAST PAGE)

Our last episode MMC 1.2 - Escape was an absolute blast and a half, check it out!

Thanks for the review Scowsh
Big thanks to New Music Saturday for spinning our weeklies version of Idiots, and also big thanks for crediting us on TexMex Shamans new song, alas, we had nothing to do with it's creation, it was prompted by the Monthly Music Challenge with Cosmic Bos, we don't deserve any of the credit. Spoiler Alert! we've had a late submission for Escape, by the awesome TexMex Shaman, we will spin it on the next
episode in a new segment we will probably call Late Subs, or something equally juvenile knowing us.

In other news, the Lights and Lines Album in a Month competition is returning in May, hosted once again by the enigmatic Mike5, Cosmic Bos will be taking part this year, but in a bit of a different way from last year. More to come on that for sure.

Also, also, while we are doing news, the last hashtag by Music Weeklies was #UpsideDown and I (Andy) made a little song for it, as is my songwriting duty, and here it is for you, on the end of this blog, it's called Down for the Upside

Thanks for stopping by, love ya

Stop Saying 1984 to Make a Point (Official Music Video) by Cosmic Bos

 Hello lovely friends,

With the '22 ending imminently, it seemed only fitting to do a little cleaning out the hard drive ready for a fresh year of music and videos, which revealed a couple of music video's that had managed to skip their release windows and hide out in the hard drive. So, I present to you the first of the two missing music video's from our Judges Choice Award Winning Album - 2 A.M, It's Mission Time

Stop Saying 1984 to Make a Point

Nick and I (Andy) made music video's to go with every song from the album, when we were recording the actual record, we put camera in our faces to capture the process and give ourselves the option to make music videos for 10 out of the 12 tracks on the album. We had to make proper music videos for 'Catch a Clue' and 'Patient Mystery' as they had not been constructed musically using our special Improv Squared technique.

We felt this was the weakest song on the record, which is why it got skipped over in favour of the next video on the release schedule. It's not a bad song, but it's a bit barebones and could do with a bit more musical muscle, which ironically makes the song much like the protagonist of the book 1984.

Still, it made the album final tracklist, and sits proudly alongside it's musical brothers and sister on 2 A.M.

Here's the Youtube version should you prefer it

Coming tomorrow will be 'Closed to the Public', the final song from the album, along with a roundup of the year blog, Thanks for coming on this adventure with us, we love you very much.

Peace and infinite love

False Promises (Cosmic Bos Mix) - Andrew Hartshorn ft. Natalie Williams Calhoun (Official Lyric Video)

 Happy December friends,

Amazing artwork by Gecko
False Promises (Cosmic Bos Mix) - Andrew Hartshorn ft. Natalie Williams Calhoun, vocalled and remixed by Cosmic Bos

Taken from Cosmic Bos Virtual Normality 2

False Promises is originally a song on Andrew Hartshorn's album Movie House, which featured Natalie Williams Calhoun's sublime Cello playing. Cosmic Bos liked the song, so Andy wrote lyrics and a melody, recorded it with Nick, sent it to Andrew, and then Nick added Bass and Drums (and a couple of other things), and we called it a Bos Mix.

Video shot on a rainy day by Andy out of his front room window.

Available on all good internet platforms, you might even find it in the meta verse, but if you like bandcamp then we suggest this link right here

Also, please like, share and subscribe to our podcast and youtube

you can find all the links you need under our tree

The Cosmic Bos Best of Season 4 podcast and album will be coming out tomorrow, or is already out depending on when you read this of course. Thank you for being part of our musical adventure this year, it's been wild.

Here is the Youtube playlist of all our Music Video's for 2022, with still a couple more to be added before the end of the year (the last 2 missing ones from 2 A.M, it's Mission Time)

Virtual Normality 2 - Cosmic Bos Music Podcast Special Presentation

Hello fellow passenger on Spaceship Earth,

Welcome to the blog that goes with the podcast about Cosmic Bos's new EP Virtual Normality 2

Here's a linktree you can take shelter under https://linktr.ee/cosmicbos

You have reached the hub of the Cosmic Bos multiverse and begin your journey down the second of our Virtual Normality tours. Last time, we explored Space with Babies, chilled out, stayed inside and then ended with a birth.

So a year later, Cosmic Bos have decided to take you on a different journey. For this year (2022) has been an exploration of songwriting, in it's many varied forms, as well as Cosmic Bos collaborating with other types of musicians to explore music further.

Back in August '22, Andy started taking part in a weekly music challenge that is run primary from Twitter, where each week a hashtag is set and you have one week to make an original piece of music on theme (big thanks to Trench Gun for hooking us in).

To start with Andy didn't take it very seriously, but a few weeks in it was becoming exciting trying to write the best song possible within the very loose restrictions.

So play along with the episode and try and Guess the Hashtag to 4 of the songs, and be WOW'ed by False Promises (Cosmic Bos Mix) by Andrew Hartshorn ft. Natalie Williams Calhoun. The move towards orchestration is a spoiler alert for next year.

Amazing artwork by Gecko
Full track listing for Virtual Normality 2

  1. Morning Coffee
  2. Burning Rings of Power
  3. Nun in a Kayak
  4. False Promises (Cosmic Bos Mix) - Andrew Hartshorn ft. Natalie Williams Calhoun
  5. Spaceship Earth
So thanks for checking out our podcast

Please like, share and subscribe

And ratings and comments on your favoured podcasting platform really helps us out, so please consider it. Thanks

We will do a proper blog about our live shenanigans once all the videos from the festival have been released, but it was a banging day for sure, and so nice to get to play some of these songs in front of an audience.

Here's our link tree for all your Cosmic Bos needs (where if you snoop you can find some of the aforementioned live footage already)

Cosmic Bos Music Podcast presents - Making of an Album Episode 4: Making an Album in a Month (Part 1of2)

 Oh friends,

In classic Bos style - I present to you the next instalment in the Making of an Album Special Presentation - Episode 4: Making an Album in a Month (Part 1) direct to you from our podcast feed.

Or the YouTube link if you prefer

Welcome to the 4th instalment in our special presentation 'Making of an Album', where Andy and Nick break down the details on music making in the 2020's, and how easy it is to do now. So far they have covered writing, and now they are going to skip over all the technical stuff and just make an album in a month for you over the next two episodes of this special presentation. There is good reason for this, Nick and Andy are creative musicians that know how to use recording equipment, they are not qualified to teach anyone anything about these things, so rather then blag it, they have focused on the process of making an album as an experience rather then the finer details of recording.

Cosmic Bos Making of an Album Episode 4: Making an Album in a Month (Part 1)

For the month of May 2022 Cosmic Bos took on the 'Album in a Month' challenge put on by Lights and Lines Independent record label, and subsequently produced a 12 track album called '2 A.M, it's Mission Time', which is out now

https://cosmicbos.bandcamp.com/album/2-a-m-its-mission-time

Wisely, throughout the album in a month process, Andy kept a diary of what was going on, and the Brothers filmed all of the recording session so that ample video footage of the album creation existed. You can see some of this already in the video's we put out for 'Isle of Avalon', 'Money Pwease' and 'Whatever You Say It Is, It Isn't'.

This podcast represents the first half of both the album, and the diary kept for the month, and takes you through the first half of what we did. There will be an accompanying blog to this episode which will have more waffle about it should you wish to read more.

Part 2 coming next month.

Songs in this episode are :

  1. Re:Mission
  2. Catch a Clue
  3. Bards for Hire
  4. Isle of Avalon
  5. Whatever You Say It Is, It Isn't
  6. Patient Mystery

All songs copyright Cosmic Bos 2022

So as promised, this blog contains the links mentioned in the episode, this is that blog, the one you are reading right this second right here right now I tell you what!

Here is F'in Lucky C' by Oxynucid & Vocalizer - still up on youtube even given its umm, questionable language. Not for the faint hearted.

As mentioned in the podcast, we wrote a song 'Step too Far' that is in the same ball park as this old Vocalizer song from back in the long long ago. We will get around to recording it at some point, but it is not priority on our list at the moment.

Also mentioned was my (Andy's) old band The Little Man, which is still out there in the internet, here is the Spotify link that was promised.

TheLittleManSpotifyLink

Next Month will be Episode 5, Part 2 of the Making an album in a month, but there will be plenty more Cosmic Bos shenanigans before that I can promise you.

Peace and infinite love

Cosmic Bos

You can find the album on bandcamp and other places, but bandcamp is good for us as artists because you can actually support us (unlike Spotify etc.)

Musical Poems by Cosmic Bos June 2022 - Dusty Shelves, Fragments of a Fracture & How to Tie a Shoes

 Hello friends,

So June has been a month of waiting, waiting to hear about the Album in a month competition that we entered in May, waiting to release some video material (which we here at Cosmic Bos love doing). We will drop the video for Isle of Avalon as soon as the results are in, it will be in our podcast feed and I will no doubt blog about it too.

Anyway, in the meantime, here are 3 musical poems I made on TikTok, using poems from my notepad, and the cool cowboy voice effect.

DUSTY SHELVES

So that's a pan of Brooklands park right next to where I live, and the music is a little instrumental piece called Wordless Wisdom by Cosmic Bos.

FRAGMENTS OF A FRACTURE

Part 1

Part 2

A bit of guitar I recorded down the beach and then put the poem over.

And finally, my personal favourite, HOW TO TIE A SHOES

I have also just launched our new TikTok series called Filter Songs. Check back soon for more of that.

All on our TikTok of course, please go follow us there if you are a user.

Also, our podcast, please check that.

Ensemble Story - Cosmic Bos (Official Music Video)

 Hell oh friends,

It's time for a music video, something we here at Cosmic Bos like to make to go along with our songs.

Ensemble Story - Cosmic Bos

Written and recorded by Andy and Nick Jackson

This song was one of the very first experiments in improv(squared) music creation. By improvising a 4 minute sound bed, Cosmic Bos layered on Guitar and Synth, followed by Bass and Vocal, and finally Backing Vocals, to create their 'Ensemble Story'.

Nick and Andy filmed themselves doing this, and that is what you are seeing in the video. Pure visual representation of music creation.

The lyrics were prewritten by Andy, and they go a little something like this:

Cover art by Dayne Howcroft
ENSEMBLE STORY

The weekend brings new music
Old music repackaged
Sounds remixed and reimagined
Sampled sounds of someone banging

Sun will shine some of the time
Under stars from galactic prime
Transitory won’t need glory
Existence is an ensemble story

The moon shows on a cycle
Orbits to plot changes by
Dreams remixed and reimagined
Cold truth leaves us somewhat damaged

Sun won’t shine all of the time
Over these hazy hopes of mine
Mandatory loss of glory
Life is an ensemble story
Song part of Cosmic Bos
Making of an Album podcast

Sit in meditative contemplation
Calmly size up our situation
For all is dust once said and done
Infinite shards of only one

Sun would shine all of the time
Resistance is our only crime
Momentary mandatory
Part of this ensemble story

...

...Here be the youtube link for all you YouTubians out there

Thank you for listening, please like, share and subscribe

Also, reviews and comments really help out us struggling creatives, so, if you've got the time, please

Peace and infinite love

Wowza! Ain't that a whole lotta fun right there. This Live session was recorded back on the 18th of December in the crazy year that was 2021. It was a bit of a rush and a push to try and get it out at the end of the year, so we held back and put it out right now at the start of '22.

Cosmic Bos performed one gig last year, and we played most of the songs on our live album, and as we had rehearsed up to be all good for our solitary performance, it only seemed sensible to make a recording of our efforts. We are pretty proud of the outcome, what do you recon?

Full visual presentation (which was too big a file to put in the podcast feed) right here for you, served up by the wonderful bots at YouTube.

Coming Soon - Cosmic Bos: Making of an Album Introduction Episode, with some new music and some new business to take care of. Until then though...

Cosmic Bos - Virtual Normality EP (Season 3 Special Presentation)

 So friends,

As has been customary during our time as podcasters, we here at Cosmic Bos have aimed to do something special presentationey every year of our show. In year 1 we did From the Vault which was a collection of music from Cosmic Bos's hard drives, in year 2 we did From the Songbook, a collection of songs we had written and then recorded live in Nick's living room, so for year 3 we have made an EP of 5 proper recordings for you. Cosmic Bos present, Virtual Normality...

1. Space Babies

2. Take it Easier

3. It's Always You

4. Stay Inside (ft. Texmex Shaman)

5. Ride Another Wave

Available on Spotify Virtual Normality on Spotify

For this special presentation, Nick and Andy sit down to discuss their EP, Virtual Normality, which they recorded over the summer of 2021 with the intention of it being their summer presentation. As is customary for Bos, it got a little delayed and finally came out on the 1st October. Not a problem though, it's not like they work to deadline or anything.

Back Cover Art also by Gecko
So the 5 songs of Virtual Normality all have a story around them, and this podcast explores them, as well as containing a Tea Review, discussion on what the rest of the year has in store for Cosmic Bos (hint, it's quite a bit), chatter about our upcoming gig on November 13th at the Brunswick in Hove, shout outs for New Music Saturday with Dr. Bones and Mike5, and extra special shoutouts to Texmex Shaman for providing the slick guitar work on Stay Inside.

Check him out on Spotify here Texmex Shaman on Spotify

Also, massive shout out to Gecko for the cover and back cover, he is an awesome artist and you should check him out, search iamgecko and marvel at the wondrous, the spectacular, the unbelievable art that he does.

Please subscribe to our shenanigans, and drop us a comment, we love to know what you think of our work, even if you think it stinks and we could do better, constructive criticism is better than no feedback.

Space Babies - Cosmic Bos Virtual Normality version

 So friends,

From the podcast feed

Cosmic Bos Virtual Normality EP

Space Babies (Virtual Normality version)

The opening track on Cosmic Bos's new EP Virtual Normality

This song began life as an improvisation from our 3rd improv album of this year 'Summadelica', with a video idea in place while we were shooting the video for Space Babies improv version.

With the addition of the 1950's B Movie style intro, and the trimming of some of the music to fit it neatly into 4 minutes, Space Babies explores the concepts of life before life begins, were we all just Space Babies floating about before we came here to be Earth Babies? We like to think the answer is yes, and Baby Theo is attempting to return to that space, in some sense.

So come, marvel at the spectacular, the wondrous, the unbelievable... Babies...In....SPAAAACE!!!!!!

Here's the Youtube version

We have made a few TikTok promo's for the EP, focusing specifically on this song (to begin with, there are other songs prepped for later)

All music improvised by Cosmic Bos

Joe Philogene - Percussion, Ngoni and various instruments

Nick Jackson - Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Synth and Vocals

Andy Jackson - Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Synth and Vocals

On the 5th June 2021, Cosmic Bos met at a secret location to record the third in their fully improvised series, with a book full of pre-written lyrics and plenty of snacks. It was a wonderful afternoon of musical exploration, and here for your pleasure is the whole thing, including some of the intros and outros that usually get cut off, there is about 20 mins of it, that is not present on the album version.

The words of wisdoms for this episode where lovingly borrowed from YouTube, with Charlie Chaplin's speech being from the film The Great Dictator (1940) and available on youtube many times, with music accompanying it. Nelson Mandela's speech from his release from prison in 1990 also comes from youtube and shares far to many similarities to Chaplin's speech from 50 years before. Which leads us to Greta Thunberg from December 2019 addressing the UN on Climate Change, with echos of both Chaplin and Mandela.

So as not to feel too down and out about the state of the world and the people that patrol it, the final Words of Wisdom comes from Ram Dass, an ever reliable source of great wisdom. The full Ram Dass speech can be found on the Here and Now podcast, link to the specific episode right here.

Here are just the songs without the inbetweeny bits, courtesy of YouTube of all places!

Space Babies - Cosmic Bos (Official Music Video)

 Hello space babies,

How are you doing? Enjoying yourself?

Well, it's time for us to all get a little bit spacey and reconnect with our inner child, or inner baby, a bit of preverbal exploration of existence.

Space Babies! The first single from our upcoming album Cosmic Bos Improvisation 3: Summadelica

Music improvised by Joe Philogene (Percussion), Nick Jackson (Electric Guitar and Synth) and Andy Jackson (Acoustic Guitar and Vocals)

Video starring Theodore Jackson as Space Baby and Andrea Jackson as Space Baby Momma

Season 3 podcast cover starring Theo 'Space Baby' Jackson
Space Babies - lyrics by Andy Jackson

Flying through space

Feel no air at my waist

The pressures are gone

Freedom swims along

Imagination

Mental elevation

Whole worlds shall dissolve

New empires unfold

It’s a game, we’re just playing

It’s a laugh, we’re all staying

These dragons all need slaying

We need truth, I’m just saying

Flying through space

Like a babies first taste

No sense letting the pressure

Stop exploring together

Imaginations

Create greater nations

Cooperating peacefully

Will be achieved eventually

It’s a game, we the players

It’s quite hard, entertain us

These dragons sent for slaying

Are our reason for staying

Space, need plenty of space

Babies gotta taste

For that infinite space

...

No Babies or Cows were adversely affected during the making of this video, however, one of the cows did spontaneously turn inside out yesterday, but that was nothing to do with the video, purely coincidental.

The idea for this video had been bouncing around the Cosmic Bos camp for a little while, originally it was to have been adults swimming in space, but when Theo came along and melted our hearts with his theodorableness it became a no brainer to get him to be our test subject for green screen based space flight, somewhat cheaper then Bezos, Branson and Musk, we managed to send Theo in to space without a rocket or a suit, and judging by his reactions he was loving his time floating round the cosmos meeting cows and aliens and just generally having a little swim in space.

The deeper meaning behind all this lovely babies in space stuff has to do with our very own entry points to this reality, could we all just be space babies that have plugged in to this 3D spectrum to have a human experience for a bit, before we return to space babiedom and find another playground to have an existential experience in? Maybe baby. Worth some pondering for sure.

As a baby, the possibilities remain infinite, it is only time and interactions that shape the infinite into the finite, crushing the language paradigm, the visual realm, the mental capability to do literally whatever you can imagine, all slowly moulded out of us. But, a Baby shows you this, and for a brief moment you can remember what it is like to be free of all pressure.

Find your inner space baby and go on an adventure, share this experience far and wide so that all can be reminded how amazing we all are really.

Peace and infinite love

Clearly Designed & Pinata of Troy (Cosmic Bos Improvisation 2: Sunrise Reflections tracks 12&13)

 So friends,

The conclusion of the Sunrise Reflections comes in the form of 2 songs, the penultimate track being Clearly Designed, and the final song being Pinata of Troy.

Clearly Designed - Cosmic Bos Improvisation

 Ngoni - Joe Philogene

 Electric Guitar - Nick Jackson

Acoustic Guitar and Vocals - Andy Jackson

After the deep thinking soul soothing antics of Ram Dass, it is time for the smokey wisdom of Cosmic Bos, with Joe using his Hunters Harp to hold the song together, Andy and Nick help build the tapestry. At the end of our musical/visual journey we are at our most burnt out, and beautiful colourful smoke carries our almost final musical opus away, the sun sets and the day is done, after the next one (Piñata of Troy).

The entire visual presentation is available on our YouTube page (please sub us, we Lub a good Sub)

 https://www.youtube.com/cosmicbos

Here are the lyrics which were written prior to the musical improv.

Clearly Designed - by Andy Jackson

Waiting out another cycle Too many layers to this trifle Clearly designed and built to shine But socially easy to stifle

Wear the honour like a hat There really is no shame in that Clearly designed and made to shine You’re the hipster coolest cat

Normally the normal me Would embrace all that I can see The signs are all designed clearly Proving this ain’t reality

Save your memories in a chest One day it will be all that’s left Clearly refined preserved design Testament to your dying breath

Normally the normal me Gets swept up in catastrophe Of late though I’ve designed clearly A proclaimed self sufficiency

Systems trotted out and barely tested Propping up the failed reinvested A clear design fault finally been bested Medal goes to third, the hairy chested

Normally the normal me Gets glitched out by bad latency On this occasion I’ll agree To check this was designed clearly

...

and finally...

Pinata of Troy - Cosmic Bos

The final track from Cosmic Bos Improvisation 2: Sunrise Reflections sees the sun setting on our adventure and the Pinata being gifted to Troy.

Percussion - Joe Philogene

Electric Guitar and Synth - Nick Jackson

Acoustic Guitar and Vocals - Andy Jackson

PIÑATA Of TROY - lyrics by Andy Jackson

Slow cooking up a cluster duck

Shredded, pancaked, out of luck

From pond to plate

Best not to wait

Or moral issues surface

Go Derek on the little things

Kindness floats on angel wings

From start to end

The great pretend

Will barely scratch the surface

Back end of the convoy

First to see the decoy

But treated like a chew toy

Piñata given to Troy

It’s animal to instinct

Not capable of deep think

But baby, bath and the sink

Don’t deserve discarding

It’s human to be lazy

It’s chaos wrapped in crazy

memory is some what hazy

Unless directed by Scorcese

Back end of the convoy

First to see the decoy

Treated like a chew toy

Pinata given to Troy

...

At the end we have our toy horse full of treats, ready to be given to someone who will hopefully enjoy it and get something positive from it, we are not enemies, but friends who haven't met yet, so here's a piñata. Our journey concludes.

What a journey it has been, from the early twinklings of Time is Now, through the ups and downs of Sunrises, Intentions, Bad Decisions, World Feelings worth staying for, wise wise Ram Dass, Being in the now, Now, reflecting, reflective...to the end, where the oversized Pinata is gifted to the enemy, so we may all be friends and solve this riddle of existence together, for together is always better.

The sun sets on this journey, the second of our fully improvised album releases, utilising the sunsets filmed after the session from our window, we close this book. But fear not, for the story is far from over, and Improvisation 3: Summadelica is already in the bag and itching to get out.

Sunrise Reflections was a truly wonderful project to work on, and Joe Philogene brought so much love, energy and talent to the core of this work which gave Nick and Andy such a rich space to explore musically, it was an honour.

Also Ram Dass, what can be said about Ram Dass?!

Mainly for what we were using him for it was rhythm, Ram Dass speaks with such flow and rhythm that combining his voice with our improvised music just worked so well, so well in fact that we used him for all of the improvised Words of Wisdom sections, as well as the song that bore his books title 'Be Here Now'.

Check out the Here and Now podcast to hear lots of awesome mind opening speeches by Ram Dass

Also check out our podcast for plenty of improvised musical shenanigans and visual funfoolery, we love you dearly and have something special to share with you, it's in our podcast somewhere, go have a look.

Be Here Now ft. Ram Dass (Cosmic Bos Improvisation 2: Sunrise Reflections track 8)

 So friends, part 8

After the Words of Wisdom 3 Ram Dass, the musical adventuring just didn't want to leave the wise guy alone, so for the next song, Ram Dass continues to dish out the tasty wisdom treats while the Bos chaps noodle away in a musical fashion.

Cosmic Bos improved the music, and they are:

Percussion - Joe Philogene

Electric Guitar, Synth and Vocals - Nick Jackson

Acoustic Guitar and Vocals - Andy Jackson

This song is track 8 in the Cosmic Bos Improvisation 2: Sunrise Reflections album, which is available from all good music streaming venues, please take your pick

This song is a direct follow on from Words of Wisdom 3, as the music began to swell a vocal called out 'Be Here Now', and the whirlwind swirled us all in, and Ram Dass had to stop talking so the music could take over, and that is how this song was born.

Here is our embedded podcast page from Spotify, please follow us till the end of time.

Be Here Now is one of Ram Dass's central thesis's, and truly a reflection of what we have been doing here at Cosmic Bos with our improvisation podcast project.
