You have reached a safe space of creative expression and general fun, away from the rigidity of organised and constructed lifestyle packages and general mediocre existential crisis headspace that plagues the moments of normal life. Welcome to Improv-revisation.


We merry band of Cosmic Bos took to the streets (instruments) and constructed (made up) a statement (nonsense) for the whole world (a tiny fraction of the population) to listen to at some point if they feel like it.

We packaged it as a podcast, because that's a thing you can do, so we got on and did just that.

Walking Stereo - Improv-revisation first song preview

Hello friends,

So we are doing a podcast, it's improvised music that we have revised a little to make it more palatable to the ears, added a sample or two, polished up in the way that you polish up improvised music and then we will package it in a pod that we will subsequently cast into the metaphorical sea of the internet, where you will be able to pluck it and listen for free. Hooray!

That's happening real soon, but in the meanwhile here is the video we made for the first song of the whole affair, it's called 'Walking Stereo' and it's about the harsh treatment of indigenous stereo's, and Nick here is taking one of these orphaned stereo's for a walk, keeping it active and vital to something, I forget what.


SO much more to come my fellows, episode 1 has 9 songs in it, and that's just the start.

Bojack Horseman youtube video prediction special crossover bloggisode

Horsey Horsey what now?

So I made all these Bojack Horseman musical tribute video's last year, they all went down really well on Facebook, but didn't seem to do so well on any other platform (by other platform I mean YouTube), except for one of them. My deeply depressing musical cut for Bojack's mother, the one and only Beatrice Horseman (voiced spectacularly by Wendy Malik) , did pretty well, and continues to do so. my YouTube channel


 So, there is obviously more to this blog then just a little ego rubbing for me (I mean, who the hell am I? You don't know do you, I might know things, want to find out?), this little video had a few comments, check out this one in this screen shot right here!

Now SPOILER WARNING! for Bojack Horseman Season 5 (Netflix), but this comment is spookily accurate as to the plot of 'Free Churro', Episode 6 of aforementioned season of Horseman based television. On reddit it was hypothesised that this was maybe one of the writers posing as a simple youtube commenter, or maybe the Bojack writing staff trawled through youtube to see if any fans had some good ideas that they could appropriate. Either way, it's cool, and I'm happy it's there on my youtube channel.

Cosmic Bos presents Improv-revisation no.0 - Pilot

So friends,

Without any introductions or promotion or any of that fanfare, I proudly present to you the pilot episode/thing of Cosmic Bos Improv-Revisation : Pilot (not the most original name for a pilot episode, but, that's what we went with).

Here is the whole thing, please have a listen/watch:


So let me put this into a bit of context, we (Cosmic Bos) love jamming, making up songs on the spot, and general musical lolly-gagging and what such. We have started recording this, and then doing some tinkering to it afterwards (as is our editing given right!).

This pilot episode contains the musical tinkering of Chris Mace and Andy Jackson, all of the music was recorded in one (long) session and then subsequently edited, mixed and mastered later. The samples used in 'Control Your Emotions' are taken from an educational film on the Prelinger Archive (coincidently also titled Control Your Emotions), also, all the adverts sprinkled between the songs are taken from the same awesome internet resource. All the music is improvised, and then cut up (and some bits reversed).

It is the musical bed to a song I made late last year, I slapped a whole load of Beatrice Sugarman clips from Bojack Horseman (Netflix) on it, it felt appropriate. You can hear that here too if you like - it's on another part of this blog under 'Half a Mind' (non-instrumental...it does have instruments and some extra Horsin' Around to boot).
