TSm - Sometimes Time Goes Backwards (Tiny Spaceman Part 7)

So friends,

The final piece of Cosmic Bos media for 2019 is Tiny Spaceman Part 7, the epic 7th part in our Tiny Spaceman Saga. It started as just a silly trilogy we did in Episode 2 of our podcast, but it has stayed around throughout the season and become it's own side project thingy.

Without further ado, here it is:

In a pickle indeed, exciting tiny stuff.

Happy festive times to all,

Peace and infinite cake

Here's the podcast embed of the video, just in case :)

An Amateur photographers photo's of the year 2019

So friends,

I (Andy Jackson) like to take photos, I'm alright at it, not exactly the best in the world, it's not something I've studied or taken any courses in outside of watching a couple of youtube guides to use this or that app, I do like to experiment though, and love playing around with colours and filters and the like.

So without further ado, I present the 12 best photos I did take this year, ta dah!

Sunset from our window

The park outside our flat (seen in photo above)

Sunrise over the beach (also outside our flat)

Some beach sky colour action

A candy floss sky from outside our flat

Another misty sunrise

An epic beach sunrise

The moon (that speck in the top left) over the beach

Seagull enjoying sunset

Ducks and a dove, plus some other birds, loads of them.

An arty shot of my wife's plant display

Moon set over the beach huts (my wife took this one)

A late in the year sunrise down by the wooden thing on the beach.
So there you have it, 12 photo's, not bad, for an amateur just using an iPhone, writing about himself in the third person.

Thanks for your eyes

Hold Me in Slow Motion (Official Music Video)

Here it is my friends,

We went trekking into the forest, made a video, and this is that video

Hold Me in Slow Motion - Cosmic Bos
from the album Improv-revisation Episode 9: Six S's
All music improvised, revised and mastered by Chris Mace, Nick Jackson & Andy Jackson
Video starring Nick Jackson as Walking Stereo, Andrea Jackson as Spirit of the Forest, Chris Mace as Treeman, Mel Pellatt & Abi Jackson as the Anime fairies, and a brief cameo from Andy Jackson as the Crazy-go-round guy.
Hold Me in Slow Motion is from this album, available in
all good streaming places, except real streams.

So, here are some links for you.

Our Direct Podcast Website
iTunes podcast link
Spotify podcast link

It's been a big year for Bos, we've put out 101 songs, 10 episodes of our show, 19 music videos (with 1 last one to follow), been played on the radio a few times, been mentioned and spun on other podcasts, recorded several sessions for next year (we have 4/5 episodes of season 2 already recorded, not revised yet though) and we have learned a hell of a lot along the way. For one thing, our achievement means nothing to the music industry, for we are not represented by a recognised label (we have labelled ourselves), and our current expression of the art form is new and not tested, plus it is very unpredictable, it's improvised!

Oh well, it's been an immensely rewarding experiment, and 2019 has been one of the best years of our lives. Thank you for coming on this journey with us, we have no idea where it is going, but hopefully it will continue to get better as it grows.

Just the next instalment of TSm (Tiny Spaceman part 7) to go and then our year is done, roll on the next one we say.

Happy festive seasons everyone, we love you

Here is the same video as above, but as featured in our podcast feed. So you know.
Peace and infinite love

For the season finale, the Cosmic Bos chaps went it alone, without a guest. To end the crazy year of music making and releasing, Jethro and Jeffrey (the totally famous monkey's from YouTube) chat about Six S's, figuratively and literally with Nick.

The usual succulent segments shall surly satisfy several listeners, with Jeffrey's story, Jethro's emails, and a brand new game to play, it's a jam packed smorgasbord of silliness. Strap in, Settle down, Strutt some shapes, simply enjoy. #Where'sMitch?

Also check out newmusicsaturday.com - Dr.Bones and MikeFive bringing you fresh slabs of musical meatiness (or quorniness if you prefer) in podcast form. Tell them Cosmic Bos sent you to get 5% off your next enlightenment.

Here is a playlist of our years music video output, enjoy.
Please like, share, subscribe, leave us a review too

The whole album without the silly chatter is available on iTunes, Spotify, all the stuff, check it out.

Quite a ride it has been, a helluva year indeed. This record is our last for 2019, it's our 10th one and marks Cosmic Bos releasing 101 songs this year, don't want to rub our own ego's too much but, that's quite an achievement, hooray us!

Happy festive seasons friends, enjoy the merriment of existence, we will be back in the new year with a best of Season 1 (B.O.S 1) which will be followed a month later by Season 2 beginning 1st Feb 2020 (Episode 10: title TBA) we are continuing with the episode numbers, we decided.

Also we are putting together a documentary about what we did in 2019, hopefully releasing that in the new year too. Thanks again for being amazing.

Peace and infinite love

Healin' - Cosmic Bos (Official Music Video)

Hello friends,

We need to heal the world, together, it's not something we can put off any longer. That's why we made this song and music video, to highlight that aforementioned world issues of required healing.

Healin' - Cosmic Bos
From the upcoming season 1 finale - Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast Episode 9: Six S's, featuring no one but the core Bos team (Chris, Nick & Andy).

This video is made up of several time lapses of art that was done by the 3 Bos chaps (Andy Jackson, Nick Jackson & Chris Mace) and their partners (Abi Jackson, Andrea Jackson & Mel Pellatt). The 6 spent a relaxed long weekend away together, doing time lapse art and dancing around in the forest (more to come on that soon). The theme for our art lapses was Healing the World, as that is the main theme of the song, and we wanted to realise that idea in a few different ways, plus we had loads of art supplies and a big world map, and a spare guitar to paint, what else ya gonna do while it's raining?

This is the first of 3 videos for our season finale, with 'Hold Me in Slow Motion' coming next, which is the one we filmed in the forest, and then finally there will be another instalment in the Tiny Spaceman saga to end out the year.

Plus: On the 1st of December (advent calendar day) the full episode will drop, with 13 new tunes and plenty of silly bants.

Please download and subscribe to our crazy little improv music podcast, pretty please with some cherries on the top (you name the quantity, whatever your cherry loving heart desires)

Deep in the forest: A Cosmic Blog

So friends,

2019 is getting close to the end (although, there is still plenty of time for "stuff" to happen), and what a year it has been. Full of ups and downs, highs and lows, good metaphors and lazy puns, some should know better for's and learning curves like half pipes...well, for us here at Cosmic Bos it has been anyway.

Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast direct link

We made/continue to make a podcast, it's on iTunes and Spotify, it's improvised music that we have revised and the put together as an album and podcast. It's hard to describe, you should give it a listen and see what you think. Well, at this point in the year we have released 9 album/podcasts (ranging from 7 to 12 tracks per album), and currently are sitting at 88 songs for the year. We have one more episode/album to come for 2019, Episode 9: Six S's, which is set to be our biggest episode to date, with 13 songs, taking our yearly total to 101. Okay, I'll stop bragging and get on to the meat of this here blog.

The weekend just gone, the Cosmic Bos team ventured into the forest to record our final music video for the year, we stayed in an Air B&B from the future, the house talked to us and responded to our every whim (except playing our Cosmic Bos music, Siri didn't recognise the name and kept playing us Cosmic Boys instead, Doh!) It had amazing wall art that controlled mood, and plenty of space for us to relax in (and prepare for our forest shoot), we took the time to shoot a nice time-lapse video for a song called Healin' (from the upcoming Episode 9: Six S's), which you will be able to see soon.

The main reason we were there though, was to shoot a music video for Hold Me in Slow Motion (from the aforementioned upcoming Epislode 9: Sex 6's), starring Nick Jackson as Walking Stereo, and Andrea Jackson as the Spirit of the forest. It was a joy to film, and the weather managed to be nice for one day so we could get it all done. Chris Mace stepped effortlessly into the role of Treeman (expect to see more of him, he's a rising star), and Abi Jackson & Mel Pellatt reprised their Fairies of the Forest roles. Andy Jackson directed it (and makes a tiny cameo) and several tiny insects had a nibble on us all. We don't often do on location filming (outside of the area we live) so it was an adventure (for us anyway).

This will bring to a close our 2019 podcast and video output (plus a Tiny Spaceman instalment) before we take a little Christmas break, after which we will be back for Season 2 in the new year (with a quick Best of Season 1 before that), oh, and we are making a documentary about ourselves as well, to hopefully help explain this whole thing a little better (plus be funny, hopefully).

Did I mention that our podcast is on iTunes AND Spotify, also, we have a facebook page and a YouTube channel (but that's a secret, so don't tell anyone)

Thanks for reading, you are wonderful (I don't tell you that enough), keep being an awesome human being, peace and infinite love

Cosmic Bos x

P.S - Here's our last video output for your visual pleasure: fun fact: it contains the whole cast of the upcoming forest based video.

GIVE US A THUMBS UP!

TSm - One Tiny Leap (Tiny Spaceman part 6)

So fellows,

Last time we were chillin' out with Tiny Spaceman and Maja they were off on a big adventure to go see Maja's friend (The Rainbow Warrior), but alas, TSm fell pray to the eyes of the mushrooms (even though Maja explicitly told him not to look them in the eyes)

Now Emit returns!
So, what will happen next?
Something, at least something, even if it's only tiny.

Music:
One Tiny Leap - Cosmic Bos
From Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast Episode 8: Cosmeta Bosette
Musicians - Charlie Gibbs, Paul Bradley, Chris Mace, Nick Jackson & Andy Jackson.
Mixed and Mastered by Chris Mace, Nick Jackson & Andy Jackson
Video by Nick Jackson & Andy Jackson

Special thanks as always to Verne Troyer (RIP) for being the awesome Mini Me on which Tiny Spaceman is based (literally)

Episode 8: Cosmeta Bosette will be dropping 1st October, so keep your ears peeled for that. The guest musicians this time round are Charlie Gibbs and Paul Bradley, who combined with the 3 Bos boys make up the band Meta-Cassette (hence the title of the episode)

Moonbeam (Official Music Video) from Ep7: On Yarway

Moonbeam - Cosmic Bos ft. Joe Philogene
from Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast episode 7: On Yarway
And here is the youtube version (higher quality)

Ft. Joe Philogene on Ngoni and vocals
Chris Mace, Nick Jackson & Andy Jackson on other instruments

This song (and 'Yarway') from the 7th improv-revised musical outing, were both performed by Joe Philogene, a true musical legend of the highest known caliber. In fact, the whole of episode 7 is about Joe and his amazing world instruments, most notable being the Ngoni (featured in the video above). It was a great honour to work with Joe on this episode, and the Cosmic Bos boys are humbled by how Joe threw himself into our crazy improv world, and came out the other end with something special.
You can hear the whole album on Spotify, or listen to the whole episode right here (or on any other podcast streaming platform)

...

We have a little break in scheduled programming coming up, there will not be a new episode in September, but there will be a single with a video from Episode 8: (Currently untitled) coming at some point early in the month. Episode 8 will then drop on the 1st of October. After that we have episode 9: (also currently untitled) which is due to release on the 1st of November, and that will be the last episode of the 1st Season. In December we plan to do a Best Of, as well as deliver to you all a documentary about what we have done this year, if all goes to plan that is. Ahem.

Thanks for hanging around

TSm - Bigfoot Little Dreams (Tiny Spaceman part 5)

TSm - Bigfoot Little Dreams
Tiny Spaceman Part 5

It's been a long time since TSm (Tiny Spaceman) came to our world through the portal, it has been a while since TSm and Maja tricked Emit into taking Tiny Spiceman back to the other dimension instead of TSm.

Maja is getting worried about TSm's constant lack of enthusiasm for life itself, spending all his time just lying in the bath staring at the wall, not even filling it, just lying in a dry bath fully clothed pondering his very tiny existence.

Maja has a plan (doesn't she always!), she has a friend ('The Rainbow Warrior'), who she can take TSm to see, to hopefully put his little mind at rest and allow them to get on with their lives for a bit, but alas it is quite a journey, not just round the corner into the next room (like the last one).

And so begins the epic quest to go visit Maja's friend, will they make it?

Well, yeah, probably.

Here is the same video in lower definition, should you wish to watch it again but slightly crappier.

The song 'Bigfoot Little Dreams' is from Episode 6: Idle Glitches - of the Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast, which is free to download from all good podcast vendors.

Episode 7: On Yarway - will be along shortly, it's been a bit of a hectic summer here in camp Bos and we have slipped slightly from our schedule. Not to worry though, it's a schedule we set ourselves so it's only ourselves we have let down. The single 'Crazy-go-Round' from episode 7 is available now, you can watch it here if you like, the full album/episode will be along in a week or two.

The next instalment of TSm will be along with episode 8 probably, we've sort of stuck them on the even numbered episodes, so expect the thrilling continuation of the most epic tiny story on the internet in a couple of months.

Peace and infinite love

Jethro promo (a Jethromo) for Cosmic Bos

Hello, Jethro here!

Wow! Thanks for stopping by, here's a video for you

Did you enjoy that? I hope so,
if you did, then maybe give the actual podcast a listen, the aforementioned 'Episode 6' is right here for you to listen to!

Gosh I'm so kind, even agreeing to write this blog for Cosmic Bos, with my small monkey arms it's no easy task I can tell you, plus it's not even my computer, it's one of Mitch's old glitchy ones. Do you have any idea what they are paying Jeffrey? He won't tell me, and I'm starting to suspect that maybe he's on more then me, which would be rubbish and I wouldn't be happy about it.

Anyway, the guys from Cosmic Bos are busy working on the next episode, no.7 - On Yarway
I don't know what that means, but hopefully Jeffrey will be able to explain it to me in the actual episode, I also saw them editing another one of those videos with the tiny spaceman in, so there might be another one of those coming soon, possibly, I don't know, they don't tell me anything.

Did you listen to the episode yet?

If so, tell me what you think

Email me (Jethro the besto) at cosmicbos@gmail.com

Oh, and Mitch's song 'Moon Gazing' can be found on spotify and iTunes etc. should you wish to come up with a vocal for him. The submissions aren't coming in thick and fast so get in there quick if you have an idea.

Okay, that's it, Bye

Jethro (and to a lesser extent Jeffrey)((I mean, he didn't help me one bit with this, so it should really be 'to a lotter extent Jeffrey' but it's can't be that because lotter isn't a real word))

In this episode, we go on a quest for ions, what are ions? We don't know, and we will all probably be non the wiser after an hour of improv music and silly chitter chatter. We do have a new feature though that we came up with, 'Mitch's Glitches' - a friend of ours, Mitch, can cross dimensions somehow, and he's reporting back to us from one of them, stick around to hear what he found.

Please like, share, subscribe, find us on Spotify with just the music

the podcast on iTunes is found here
And on Spotify it's here

Here is the video we made for track 1
We have another couple of video ideas in the pipeline for this episode (time permitting of course), so there will be some more visuals to go with this episode, another instalment in the Tiny Spaceman story and a little live video we recorded back when we did the original improvisation session for this episode for the song Upward Trajectory.

We are already squirrelling away on Episode 6 so that it will be ready for 1st of July, it's currently untitled so I can't give you a hint, oh, hell, i'll have a guess, let's say... Carpet Wall Door?! something like that probably. Have a lovely day, and, if you get lonely, just phone Uncle Bob (he's on call).

Up is the Only Way - Cosmic Bos (Official video)

Up, up and away...

From episode 4 of Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast, 'Up is the Only Way' is a dancy improv number that sets the tone for the whole episode, hence why it opens proceedings and got a video.

Our improv music podcast experiment is going quite well, so far

Direct link - http://cosmicbos.libsyn.com/
or iTunes
or Spotify

Please do a bit of the old liking, sharing and subscribing, the bread and butter of poor artists like us

Here is the youtube version, it's been up for ages and no one has watched it, which is fine, youtube no longer seems to be the platform for artistic up and comers, but it still is a place that we can put our little music videos, so that's something I guess.

Thanks for hanging around,
The next episode is a little something special (or lazy, depending on your perspective), it's called 'From the Vault'

10 songs from our musical collections of old/unreleased material, Hooray!
With a special guest appearance by Donny Stax

Coming to the podfeed on 1st May

Episode 4 : Pass-portal Control - Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast

So here we are,

Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast
Episode 4: Pass-portal Control

Track listing:

1. Up is the Only Way
2. Mood Stabalizers
3. Making it Up as we Go Along
4. You Spin Me Round in Circles (not Squares)
5. Journey
6. Beautiful Lies
7. Sofa, So Good
8. Wire Shoe Laces
9. Simple Act of Kindness

All music improvised by Ashley Carter, Chris Mace, Nick Jackson & Andy Jackson
Revised and Mastered by Chris Mace & Andy Jackson

The title of this one is a reference to our silly toy video's, the ones with the tiny space bloke in, and the Swedish woman, and those tatty nutcrackers (Jimmy & Bimmy). They have a portal, and things can come through it, so it needs some sort of passport control, so that not just any old entity can come into our realm and start causing chaos on a galactic scale.

We recorded all the music for this episode back on the 6th of October 2018, one Octobery afternoon/evening, four musical stations set up, four musicians (Chris Mace, Nick Jackson, Andy Jackson & special guest Ashley Carter) and plenty of snacks, with just a couple of breaks for a tea (and to air the room a little).

The episode is coming out at a time of high strangeness and confusion. Being British, us Cosmic Bosi are observing the flip flopping, all over the political floors, of the Brexit fish, which seems to have been born prematurely with little to offer outside of 'We're Out!', and a political system that seems to have mistaken the fact it is there to run the country for a tug-o-war over the Irish (again, a little bit of history repeating). Now, we are not a politically motivated musical movement, far from it in fact, we are politically motivated to movement maintenance mainly musical in nature, but our improvising on that day back in October last year has a spooky connection to Brexit.

What? Spooky you say? How so?

Well, it's not that spooky I guess, more, mildly interesting, maybe.
All the improv songs that came out of the session have titles that could be seen as political, or at least sociopolitical, 'Making it up as we go along', 'Beautiful lies, 'You spin me round in circles (not squares)' to highlight a few. It seems as if our improvising brains were trying to tell us something, I haven't been able to figure it out, I don't see any answers in the music, there probably isn't any there to see, and it's not worth looking, because if the answers to the political questions of our age can be found on an improvised musical podcast then, well, then we need more listeners who have political persuasive powers, hell, we just need more listeners.

Also, on an unrelated note, the episode is hosted by Jethro & Jeffrey (internet Z-list celebrities), check out their antics on our youtube channel.

Anyway, here is the video to 'Up is the Only Way'

Up is the Only Way (episode 4 pweeview)

The only way is up, they say,

Well, I can't vouch for the directional advice of this improvised (and revised) song, but it sure does get the dance into my feet and the rhythm into my soul.

Up is the Only Way - is the opening track of Episode 4: Pass-portal Control, along with the previously released (like, a week ago) 'Journey' and 7 other revised improvisations.
All the music for this episode was improvised by Chris Mace, Nick Jackson, Andy Jackson and special guest Ashley Carter (honorary Bos)
It was revised and mastered by Chris Mace and Andy Jackson

And it can all be yours for the grand total price of nothing on the 1st of April, 2019
Until then though, how about subscribing to Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast so that you don't miss a single smidgin of our musical funliness.
It's on Spotify, and iTunes, and all that fluffy lovely goodness.

We have shot a video for Up is the Only Way, and it will follow shortly, just another of our cheap, shot on a phone affairs, it's a fun one, like the song. Check back soon for some visual Bos.

So, have a lovely time, whatever you do with it

Tiny Spaceman part 4: Journey (ep4 sneak peak)

Tiny Spaceman and Maja are just hanging out, you know, like you do when you are a toy.

Then...well, why don't you just see for yourself.

See! Wow!
What an adventure, truly epic in the tiniest of ways.

The music - Journey by Cosmic Bos, is taken from the upcoming fourth instalment in the Cosmic Bos Improv-revisation podcast, Episode 4: Pass-portal Control, which is coming to all podstreams on the 1st of April (for real, no April fools...this year at least).

The single - Up is the Only Way - will come out soon(er then the episode), hopefully with an interesting video (we're going to make it, this weekend)

copyright Cosmic Bos 2019

This episode is a little shorter then the first two, and there was lots of material left on the cutting room floor (which I've promised to clean up), but thanks to the tireless production efforts of Chris 'Jeffrey' Mace, the wordsmithery of Donny Stax and the samples of Tezza McKezza, something special was born (or revised). It's somewhat Oxymoronic, a little bit Atomic, and a smidgen Hotel.

Here is the video to 'Pinch Me, I'm Dreaming' - just in case you wanted to watch it
The video was directed and edited by Nick Jackson, it starred Andy Jackson, and there was a special appearance by Abi Jackson, a whole lotta Jackson action

That's it for now, coming April 1st will be Episode 4: [currently unconfirmed irreverent title]
With a preview song/video coming at some point in March, probably a couple o weeks

Peace out

So, what would you do if you were trapped in a dream? and you needed to pee?

Hmm...a tricky conundrum indeed,

You ever get that feeling, that you might still be dreaming, and this whole reality is just one long dream?

Well, 'Pinch Me, I'm Dreaming' is all about that, it's an improvised (and then revised) song from Episode 3: Oxymoronic Atomic Hotel of our little improv-revisation podcast

Starring Andy Jackson
Special guest appearance by Abi Jackson

Whatya Thinking About?

Whatya thinking about? Right now?

So we were meant to be done with video's for episode 2, having made the whole tiny spaceman trilogy and all, but... well, we've got these two cheap looking nutcracker dolls with moving mouths and they just happen to be chilling next to a portal (suspiciously similar looking to the portal that Tiny Spaceman used to get to our world in the first place, nudge nudge), and this is what they've been getting up to. They want to know what you're thinking about?

So, whatya thinking about?
